You don't think that maybe the rise of fascism and the US quite literally acting like Nazis might be a contributor to that? I don't think it's extremists sticking around, I think that the current global political situation is leaving people fed up and pushed towards more extremist views because the current systems are failing spectacularly.
You don't have to hate someone for different beliefs when it's some benign policy difference, but it's completely rational to hate people that are actively murdering innocent people, bombing other countries, protecting pedophiles, deporting legal citizens, and sheltering wealth hoarders from paying taxes.
You can't "both sides" genocide, home slice.
I think that's extremist talk. America isn't full of fascists. That's lemmy hyperbole because you all just click over and over on bad news.
Lemmy is not even close to being a snapshot of the American public. Most people don't even care enough about stuff like that to vote. Oh and you all hate them too.
Lemmy is a bunch of doomscrollers waiting for, and hoping for, the end of the world. Most people in the real world are just going to work, having BBQ's on the weekends, and mowing the lawn, and hanging out in parks with their kids on saturdays.
In a few years, we'll elect a Democrat president (even tho Lemmy wants people to believe elections will be outlawed! lolol), and nothing will change. People will still be going to work, bitching about their paycheck, and having BBQ's on the weekends, and mowing the lawn, and hanging out in parks with their kids on saturdays.
Then after that, we'll get another Republican president. And nothing will change. People will still be going to work, bitching about their paycheck, and having BBQ's on the weekends, and mowing the lawn, and hanging out in parks with their kids on saturdays.
People like you have been saying the world was about to end for as long as I can remember. lol
Feel free to stay angry and yell at the sky while typing manifestos on Lemmy. I'm going to hang out at the park by my house and enjoy life. :)
Lol okay bud. Polling shows at least 30% of Americans support what's happening, but I'm sure your gut is a better barometer.
Enjoy smugly shoving your head in the sand, it doesn't make you as enlightened as you seem to think it does. You just sound naive.
Ok, so if we go by your logic, then 70% are concerned and will do something about it. Right? So how come no revolution yet?
Lemmy also said that after the Luigi thing happened that there was gonna be a big change. Execs were gonna go down. People were gonna eat the rich. People just weren't going to put up with it anymore!!!! The revolution was about to star!! lolol
So what changed? Where is that revolution?
Bruh, most people don't care. And most aren't as angry as Lemmy is about it. That's just a fact. Lemmy is an extremist echo chamber and it is quickly forgetting that not everyone agrees with them. That doesn't mean you have to hate people tho.
k! :)
How many people were there compared to the population of the US? Dude, it was less that 2 percent of the entire U.S. population. 2 percent! lol That means that 98 percent of the population had nothing to do with that protest.
I bet not even the majority of Lemmy showed up for those protests! lolololol
What was accomplished? What changed? What policies changed? Everyone in power then, is in power now.
Nothing changed. That's not to say I'm against protests; I think protesting is awesome. But to think that everyone is on board with Lemmy's ideas is maximum cope. Lemmy is full of people that are too extreme and too nerdy for reddit. Think about that. lol
Hope your day gets better, tho. We can agree to disagree. All is good!
