Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

Foreigners often visited Germany, to buy up cool stuff like grand pianos and awesome food spreads, all for a pittance with foreign currency.
Some perverse part of me, kinda hopes that my Euros will let me rise above a lifetime of poverty.
Kind of. The US won't collapse due to its debt, but the dollar will be devalued as money is being printed to pay it back.
This is why Democrats love deficit spending. They get to obscure the true cost of social welfare programs and ensure that workers foot the bill instead of the people making everything so expensive.
Lots of things about American political discourse are infuriating, but this is def one of the worst. Republic administrations are so much worse for inflation that it’s almost laughable to see this opinion shared around. Kind of wild how politics is all vibes and memes I guess.

Democrats love deficit spending, which is why Republicans historically are the ones that increase the deficit more.
Democrats are the lesser evil.

Sure, let me clarify.
You said "democrats love deficit spending," and then proceeded to go on about how Republicans have historically raised the deficit more than Democrats. This means your argument is (even if you're afraid to admit it) that Republicans are worse than the Democrats for the deficit. And I agree with you! They are worse!
It's so easy to criticize Republicans, but it's hard to criticize Democrats and they take advantage of it as much as they can.
Democrats use deficit spending as a shield to the true cost of social welfare programs. We need these programs, otherwise people would recognize how much they're being fucked and revolt against the system taking them for a ride. Democrats can't have this, so they nominate wet noodles like Clinton and Biden over Sanders.
It's disgusting, despicable, and needs to fucking end. It won't end until people stop being proudly stupid.
