Sounds interesting. It's always been a bit of a bummer that games with "Cthulhu" in the title (or obviously strongly inspired by the setting) never quite made good on their promises. I remember really liking some parts of "Dark Corners of the Earth" but the sum total was just kind of average and it played too much like a shooter. Then in 2018 or so there was "Call of Cthulhu" which also seemed promising but turned out a bit too formulaic. And then we have "The Sinking City" which has its charms but is maybe a bit too weird and gamey. It's like they never really find the right combination of puzzles, action, investigation, characters, world building etc.

Time to check out another contender I guess ...

Agreed, it’s hard to find a quality game with these themes. Bloodborne is the only truly great one really.

Going to try the demo for this tho, looks stellar anyway.

Got to disagree on this.

Call of Cthulhu (2018) is pretty good, both thematically and in terms of gameplay. The Sinking City is also well regarded, but I have yet to play it. Dredge is also clearly inspired by Cosmic Horror and while it has its flaws from both a narrative and gameplay perspective, I really enjoyed it.

Going to try them all, thanks!
