First of all, welcome!

If you haven't already, please read the sidebar for the rules etc. If possible, alongside posting a generic YouTube or Bandcamp link to a song, if you could post links to other services you use (such as Spotify) then it makes it easier for people to listen on their preferred platform. This isn't essential, but I think it makes it easier for everyone to access the music and listen the way they want to.

And if you want to be a real saint, you could remove unnecessary parameters from links 😉 (though I don't expect everyone to go to that much trouble).

Enjoy some good fucking music! 🤘

Your all know em or hate em. Here's the instrumental from their phenomenal second album. Chilling and foreboding, yet awesome and epic.

Hope you don't mind the reupload @[email protected] ! The other post's link doesn't work for me, leads to "video unavailable" lol.

Absolute classic from one of the old-school legends! Incredibly iconic song. While I would say most Overkill material has a darker, eerie tinge to it, this song has a much more upbeat, happier feel to it, reminds me of some old-school heavy metal releases.

When this EP came out in 2012, I remember thinking to myself, FINALLY two of the greatest thrash classics mashed together in one track! Updated with modern production and definitely pays homage to the originals, but nothing will ever replace what came first. There's also a cover of Sepultura's Arise on this EP but it's easily overshadowed by this track imo.

Hailing from the UK, these dudes usually play death metal, and have historically done so since 89. But I made this my pick for today simply cuz this is straight up a death/thrash track. A bit formulaic and predictable but I don't find myself skipping it when it comes around on shuffle. Solid track imo.

Classic Bay Area thrash, like a mix between Anthrax and Metal Church. Great guitar sound and decently written.

As mentioned, @[email protected] xD. Old-school speed metal, thought I continue the trend haha.

Swiss old guard in the heavy metal/hard rock sector of music, once again another explosive album opener in practiced SPEED METAL fashion. Reminds me a bit of Judas Priest's Exciter from Stained Class, especially with the double bass intro.

Apologies for the absence been really busy recently. Anyways, this seems more than relevant. Thrash/groove which directly inspired Pantera.

Legendary 80's Teutonic heavy metal band opened their 4th album (arguably their greatest) with a speed metal track, as many often do, to get the adrenaline flowing. Another fucking classic.

Sneaky second upload today, and a nod to our community's overlord Serp! Figure this is a fantastic representation of today's bullshit - exhausting and soon to be bloodied. On behalf of the Americans that see reason, I apologize to the rest of the free world.

Anyway this track and album tear up some ass so enjoy!

Opener to their second album, arguably superior to their first, this track comes out swinging, only to relent in the passage before the solo. Fantastic thrash metal with hints of power metal that don't drag it down - I wish they kept this quality throughout their career.

Death metal, crossover thrash, and crust punk all come together to create this healthy dose of aggression. Reminds me a ton of Entombed mixed with shitloads of D-beats lol - great moshin shit.

Havent really paid any attention to newer Gwar since the vocalist passed, but this happened to pop up in my daily recommends and I made it my pick here today. This particular track is some crossover thrash with lots of unserious punk attitude lol. I'll have to check out the rest of this EP when it drops later on if this song is any indication of the quality.

Some more Ghoul for ya! Short but sweet, wish it stuck around for a minute or two longer!

A Sepultura classic that's been rerecorded with the Cavalera bros. Love this era of death/thrash and a lot of the music has been respected with this final modern release of their "Third World Trilogy" rerecordings. Voice has a crazy reverb on it, but that's literally my only gripe that I got over pretty quickly lol.

From Venom's latest album. Sounds quite different from their early stuff.

Just one of the many great examples of Vio-Lence. Hoping to see them live at some point. I have to admit I feel a little stupid... I thought Lich King's cover of this song was an original song, until I heard this today for the first time (heard the first half of Eternal Nightmare a long, long time ago, forgot I never finished the album 😅). Had a bit of a shock when I saw I hadn't finished the album, and another when I saw the title in the tracklist xD.

Swedish blackened thrash. Surprised to find I haven't posted this band yet. Very aggressive, doesn't let up. Enjoy!

From Death Angel's latest LP. Death Angel, in my opinion, has always had a more melodic feel to their songs, especially in later albums.

Hella chunky tone, and super groovy. Actual song starts at 1:08.

While I consider this black metal rather than thrash, it is close enough to the likes of Venom, that it could also be considered blackened thrash/speed metal. Bathory's self titled album just screams Venom, in many places outright copies Venom's Black Metal. Despite this, I can't get enough of this album. I'm even considering purchasing a repress on vinyl. It takes what Venom has, adds a darker atmosphere, somehow even worse production and more extreme vocals, unfortunately losing Venom's charm and energy along the way.
