He's going to catch some words at work for it probably, but he slept in because I've been depressed and he stayed up to make sure I fall asleep first. He knew damn well that it would make it impossible for him to wake up in time but he did it anyway.

Randomly remembered this post after feeling the desire to pet an animal, and it made me smile. I originally posted it on over at https://piefed.zip/c/NiceMemes/p/801012/petting, and figured since it made me smile I could share it again here. In general, the fact !NiceMemes@sopuli.xyz exists is pretty nice. In general it filters out hopeless, doomposting, cynical memes. And it's nice to have a more neutral/positive space!

She frequently looks silly or cute. I'm minding my own business and then glance at her just existing and I get super excited. "Holy shit, it's a cute cat, how amazing!". I know that's silly but when it comes to her, it's almost like my brain resets periodically and I see her anew.

She also has really cool, almost white eyes.

Love her to bits 💜

My son is 19, he still lives with us while going to culinary school. We have a great relationship, but I still miss spending time with him because he likes to mostly stay to himself when he is home.

He introduced me to a mobile game (Monster Hunter Puzzle), and we have been so addicted together. Checking in on each other’s islands and quests and such, it’s been so much fun!

I am super grateful for this extra time with him. I know he will move out soon and start his life in earnest. But for now, we quest.

I really wasn't expecting that color out of nature, it looked more like a red LED emission! (I say, as someone who does not really look at nature unless there is a cute animal around, so perhaps I'm very misguided.) But either way, two birds hopping around clearly in my view for a decent amount of time, even though I was on the other side of the street. I stopped and watched them until they went behind a bush and I could not see them anymore.

I only started watching Doctor Who recently with a dear friend of mine who is a huge fan, and they've been really happy to be able to share it with me. I got to let them know about this first and they were really excited.

It was also nice to find out about it almost immediately via https://feddit.uk/post/45752375 (rather than by some algorithm pushing it to me)
