While I would argue with some of the points, like I think they took "rolling isn't gameplay" too far, or I feel sometimes there are ways to have a minigame that wouldn't make it hard to run AND would improve narration layer, it was an interesting read

Now that the kickstarter has closed the PDFs are out, has anyone played Shadowrun Anarchy 2.0?

A New Jersey woman who was found bound with zip ties in the woods and marked with a derogatory phrase referencing President Donald Trump is now accused of staging the attack.

Natalie Greene, 26, is charged with conspiracy to convey false statements and hoaxes and making false statements to federal law enforcement.

According to court documents, Greene and a co-conspirator called 911 late July 23 and claimed that three men had attacked them on a trail at the Egg Harbor Township Nature Reserve. The co-conspirator told dispatchers the men referenced Greene by name and mentioned her job in politics. According to reports, Greene previously worked for a Republican congressman.

The upheaval of the manasphere following the the Disian Shadow War has brought significant changes to magic, changes that aren’t quite yet understood but already being seen and felt. Magic is both familiar and different.

This has just dropped in my notifications. It just so happens I recently read some part of Astral Ways and while I haven't followed Disian plot too closely, now I'm curious what they've cooked up. Their vision of metaplanes has some potential IMO
A bit too pricy for a curiosity purchase, though

Anyone had a chance to peek inside?

Ancient and modern, war-torn but prosperous, Cairo is a place where ancient customs and traditions walk hand-in-hand with the modern realities of the Sixth World. It’s a place of mystical power, opportunities, and vast riches for those bold enough to claim them. Here, fortunes and lives are often won or lost based on a single decision. And in the wake of a devastating shadow war, several corporations are looking toward Cairo to fortify and further expand their newly won power and influence … or to halt their imminent demise.

Risks and Rewards is a campaign book for Shadowrun, Sixth World.

NOTE: This product includes a PDF of the book and a PDF of the Cairo map.

A bit pricy but the region does not pop up often. I'm curious, especially if they added some magical threats fitting the area.
Or something area specific for the corps to scheme over?

Or at least did better job than most of the rest of non-Americas' lore

In the Seattle shadows, fixer Brynne Taggart is known as one of the best, the kind of fixer you want on your side rather than against you. But something has gone sideways and now she’s disappeared. Her mentor, the legendary fixer Saint James, needs a team to turn over every stone in the sprawl and if necessary crack some skulls (or spill some blood) in order to find out what happened … and why.

What starts off as a simple investigation within the suburbs of Seattle quickly escalates into a royal cluster-frag as gangs, bikers, and other runners become major obstacles. So the question becomes: are you going to take this laying down or are you going to rise to the occasion?

The description sounds like this is not a Disian plot, more street like

Anyone checked this out?

Since I started observing CGL on DrivethruRPG, I must admit they do put out stuff for SR. Maybe not always the best but it's not complete silence. I wish they negotiated the rights to use Horrors' plot, though

I own, and have read some of, V1, but never ended up playing it. I have heard some good things about it and will probably back it.

Somehow it didn't ping on any of my radars and I don't see a mention here

CBR+PNK hack with metahumans, magic and a bit more meat than the original

I have had this game since the kickstarter, but finally got a chance to play it yesterday. It was two player, so I am not sure that is the ideal number. We played a lot of things wrong the first time through and learned a ton as we progressed.

Anyone else playing? Have you played with the Coop or 5-6 player expansions?

If you're new to shadowrun and want to read some actual play storytime, you need to do yourself a favor and read this.

It's a very old text and it's from 4chan so yeah some parts (mostly in the first few chapters) have aged like milk. I do believe the text itself makes the wincing worth it, it's truly a masterpiece of hijinks and general shadowrun-ness.

You can read it either from the 4chan archive here or my personal pick, the PDF version here. It starts as a "That Guy" story (a complaint about a problematic player) but quickly gets into the good stuff.

Have fun!

Hey everyone! I noticed the old !shadowrun@sh.itjust.works had been down for sometime so I decided to recreate it, I feel like our community isn't the biggest out there but the subreddit had some traction so hopefully we can get that without having to deal with Reddit atrocious decisions. I'm planning for this community to be mainly based around said subreddit so basically anything goes here: questions about the game, images and stories from your campaigns, fun lore tidbits... I hope fans both old and new can feel included!

Somehow it feels very cyberpunk for me. Like Villiers vs Spinrad (I chose the CEOs randomly). Big crowds, huge advertisement flows, even those not interested in fights might get interested in these.

I think there was a sasquatch CEO somewhere. That would be an interesting match.

And how much PR would the corp loose if it turned out it was a biowared look-alike that was winning instead of Damien Knight?
