STATEMENT IN SUPPORT OF AMAZON STRIKE
DECEMBER 19, 2024 | AMERICA
The American Communist Party proudly stands with the striking Amazon workers on picket lines across the nation.
The struggle of the Teamsters at Amazon represents the struggle of America's entire working class. It is tied to the fate not only of Amazon workers but also railway, industrial, commercial, and service workers: in sum, the overwhelming majority of all Americans.
It is the labor of our working class that fuels the super-profits of parasites like Jeff Bezos, poised to become the first trillionaire in history, and whose class is destroying the country we hold so dear. These profits come at the expense of the basic human dignity of the working class, the productive capacity of the American economy, and the health of American families and communities. Every dollar lining the blood-drenched pockets of this social scum was earned not by hard work but from the work of the people on the shop floor, in the trucks, and in the warehouses.
We applaud the efforts of Sean O'Brien and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters for their resolve and capacity to take part in the struggle against these forces in the class war.
As this conflict intensifies, all American workers must stand unflinchingly against the forces already aligned against us, as soldiers in combat against a ruling class that does not hesitate to use any and all means at its disposal to destroy the cause of labor.
This battle is not the first and it will not be the last. We look towards victory and a new America free of the parasites.
The future belongs to the working class.

The ACP Texas chapter met up in Austin to restore the home of Florence, an 81-year-old cancer survivor and life-long local community volunteer. She is a beloved member of the community who has run a charity for 30 years called 'Florence's Comfort House', dedicated to helping children receive higher education and grow up in a safe environment.
Florence selflessly stepped up to the plate to meet the needs of her community when existing institutions all but left Montopolis behind and continues to do so despite her health challenges. In honor of her many sacrifices, and in an effort to extend our resources to this community, ACP TX decided to assist Florence in revitalizing & maintaining her home. We draw inspiration from community members like Florence, whose cause is noble and in common with the #AmericanCommunistParty.

Today, imperialist authorities are launching an unprecedented intimidation effort against critics of U.S. policy under the guise of protecting against "Russian disinformation." But this is nothing more than a blatant attack on the very vision of freedom of speech and press that the American people once fought and died to establish.
To crush dissent, the political elites, mainstream media, and private financial monopolies are working together to wipe out any narratives which challenge their authority.
Growing numbers of Americans feel that their government is unwilling or incapable of addressing the issues which impact their everyday needs. Instead of addressing the existential problems facing everyday Americans, Republicans and Democrats work to distract and divide the American people over culture war grievances, while both parties promote genocidal imperialism abroad and fascism at home.
We understand that fascism has always been employed to defend financial monopolies against the demands of popular democracy and while making irrational and divisive appeals to the working class to preserve ruling class power. The Democrat and Republican duopoly are seeking to stomp out the class-struggle with the total suppression and exploitation of potential democratic forces.
The lead-up to the November elections are a decisive moment to preserve the legitimacy of the institutions of the ruling class. They understand that when the peoples' consent is lost, dissent becomes an existential threat. With a crisis of legitimacy on its hands, the ruling class's narrative couldn't be more detached from the truth. From funding the genocide on Palestinians to the arming of Neo-Nazis in Ukraine, the Western elites have never been this exposed.
Now is a critical time to stick together and stand defiant in the face of this intimidation and repression toward brave Americans who speak the truth, to stand alongside the American people fearlessly, and to refuse to turn our backs on the poor and working men and women because we are told by the liberal and conservative media that they are too impure.
The fascist regime understands the people are ready for a fundamental change, and if presented with the vision for a new future, they will take it. The ACP is dedicated to building this vision.

On August 24 members of the ACP Connecticut chapter gave away $681 of goods to the homeless in the New London area. Goods given included toiletries, foodstuffs, blankets and first aid kits.

In Ontario, our comrades at @acp_ontario cleared much of the most neglected hiking trail in Toronto, dubbed “garbage park.”

Our group in the Bay Area encountered sidewalks that were full of garbage including needles and glass shards. We spent a few hours cleaning it up.
Now these streets are safe for use and have reopened a path to a local church.

Our Dallas group spent early sunday morning cleaning up Brownwood park. The park was littered with empty alcohol bottles and paraphernalia among other trash. The American people deserve safe parks for recreation and community-building, without threat of injury.

Our comrades at @ACP_NewYork spent hours in the summer heat yesterday cleaning up some of the most neglected areas in Brooklyn’s Coney Island park.
Our common recreational areas have been totally neglected for decades, simply because they don’t make profit for capitalists.
So it’s up to Communists to help fix them! 💪
