Charlie Brown walks along with his shoulders slumped. He says,"Poor Charlie Brown...I feel so sorry for him..."
Patty stands nearby and looks at him questioningly as he continues,"Poor li'l ol' Charlie Brown"
She walks up to him, points, and exclaims,"What sort of talk is that? YOU'RE Charlie Brown!!"
He walks off and retorts over his shoulder, "So what? Can't a fellow feel sorry for himself?!"

Charlie Brown stoops watching Patty crouch on the ground with seeds in her hand. She says,"Mighty oaks from little acorns grow" He asks,"Really?"
She kneels, plants the seed, and replies,"Sure, we'll plant this acorn now, and an oak tree will grow right here" He says,"Well, I'll be...."
She stands, looing around her in confusion. She wonders,"Now, where did he go?"
He reappears with an axe and looks at the area where the seed is planted. She exclaims,"Hey! Get away from here with that!!"

Violet is jumping rope and she is saying "Eleventy-Six, Thirty-Twelve,"
Violet is still jumping and saying " Fifty-Four-Forty, Sixty-One-Teen..."
Shermy is running and he yells "Hey, Violet!"
Violet stops jumping and is upset as she says to Shermy, "Now look what you've done! You've made me lose count!"

As she walks along with him, he continues,"I finished it in one day!"
She follows him up the stairs and says,"I didn't know you could even read, Charlie Brown..."
He stops and turns to her, holding out the book. He exclaims,"Do you think I could finish this book in one day if I knew how to read?!"

Patty is standing holding an envelope, she tells Charlie Brown who is sitting at a small desk wearing a paper hat, "I have a message for the captain"
Charlie Brown stands up and points and says, "He's right over there, madam..."
Charlie Brown is sitting and Patty says, "But how can I be sure which one the captain is?"
Charlie Brown turns and looks at Patty and says, "His hat is made from the editorial section!"

Patty and Violet are walking down the lane. Patty says,"I wouldn't want to own just any kind of dog"
As they walk across the bridge, Violet says,"Oh, no, me neither....I'd want one that was very intelligent looking"
Patty points in front of her and asks,"Do you mean like that one?"
They watch as Snoopy walks by wearing glasses. Violet replies,"Yes, that's the kind...doesn't he look intelligent?"

Patty says " This is my hope chest" Violet replies " What's a hope a chest" Still standing by the hope chest, Patty says to Violet " You save things in it that you"ll need when you get Married Patty is leaning against her Hope chest and Violet ask " What do you have in yours? The hope chest is opened and Charlie Brown is inside, Patty replies to Violet " Charlie Brown!

Charlie Brown runs with Snoopy chasing him. The former shouts,"Mad dog! Mad dog!!"
Patty watches them go, as a scared Violet stares after them and exclaims,"A mad dog! Shouldn't we call the police?"
As Snoopy and Charlie Brown run pass again, Patty replies,"No, he's not that kind of a mad dog..."
She watches them run along with Violet and concludes,"He's just mad at Charlie Brown!"

Shermy approaches and asks,"Well, how's your playing coming, Charlie Brown?" An exhausted Charlie Brown replies,"Not too good"
Shermy sits on a chair and Charlie Brown sits on the floor. The latter concludes,"In fact, last night I dreamed that Beethoven strangled me!"

He says,"Hey!", as she swipes the bowl from him. She says,"Oh, no, you're not, Charlie Brown!!"
He frowns to the reader as she says,"If you do that, you'll spoil the rest of your dinner..."
He retorts,"Well, I'd feel a whole lot worse if the dinner spoiled my dessert!"

He shrinks against the wall, and in fear says,"Oh, no, anything but that!! Anything!"

He sits in the bathtub smiling at the reader. He says,"It's all just an act...I really don't mind baths at all!"

He stands on a chair with the hammer in one hand and the other placing a nail against the wall. She asks,"Could you put the nail in right about there?" He replies,"How's that?"
As he starts hammering, she says,"That's fine...thank you very much..."
He stands on the ground and replies,"There was nothing to it...I'm mechanically minded!"

Violet stops, spreads her hands, and exclaims,"So would I!! All they have to do every day is sit and rock!"
They stoop to pick some flowers and Patty says,"The trouble is that you first have to be a wife, and then you have to be a mother..."
They walk along with the flowers tucked in their hair. Violet concludes, "I know it...it's all those preliminaries that get me!"

He washes his hands and continues,"Of course, it probably wouldn't do much good..."
As he towels his hands, he looks down at Snoopy and concludes,"You'd just have to walk on them right away again anyway!"

Charlie Brown is looking down at the wastebasket and says " Gee, A basket like this comes in handy, Doesn't it?

Shermy walks up to him and he concludes,"O.K., I'm all warmed up...let's start the game!"

Patty exclaims,"Ah!" as Snoopy walks by. Snoopy looks up at her puzzled.
She walks along smiling pulling a rope that is attached to a skate and upon which, a smiling Snoopy is standing.

He runs towards the voice as it continues,"They're ruined!!" "Every one of them!"
He approaches Violet, who is sitting on the ground between her shovel/pail and an overturned table, crying. He asks,"What's the matter, Violet?" She replies,"My mud pies are ruined..."
She stands up and points to them behind the overturned table. She concludes,"They fell in the dirt!"
