The domain name

This instance is named "gregtech" simply because my name is Gregor, and I didn't check whether there is already something called "gregtech" before registering my domain name. Yes, even EU, which is a thing in the minecraft mod, is simply a coincidence. I guess you can also post about Gregtech, the minecraft mod, here.

I'm working on a potential edit of Robocop 2 that fixes some problems I had with it:

Very slow to get going - the first third of the movie branched out in many directions that didn't necessarily go anywhere. Some have been removed and some shortened.
Hob, the kid. I didn't like the way the character was written and directed. He barely features in the movie now until a few minutes much later on.
The OCP boardroom meetings and general waffle from some of the characters has been trimmed, especially Dr. Faxx. It was badly edited and a lot of exposition about Nuke and the Robocop 2 expenses are repeated too much.
When Murphy has his directives messed up by Dr Faxx, instead of going on patrol with Lewis and acting silly, once he begins to look odd in the precinct, Linda Garcia takes him for examination immediately.
Badly delivered lines have been mostly removed.
Rearranged some scenes to improve continuity and flow.

The edit is shaping up to be 30 minutes shorter (1 hour 30 minutes) instead of 1 hour 57 minutes.

Judge Dredd (1995) - "Redux" (aka "Less Yapping" edition)

This film had wonderful sets and costumes, truly incredible. But the script and acting, they were not on same level. The goal of this edit is to make movie more enjoyable by cutting weakest parts.

Main changes:

There is one comic relief character who is very annoying. Around 80% of their dialogue is now removed. This is biggest change in edit.
The senior judges sometimes speak too long and sound silly. These parts are shortened.
Rico has some over-the-top moments. They are made a little less extreme.
The most cheesy dialogues are cut away.

Additional notes: Priority was to create enjoyable version without too much difficult work. Some edits are not perfectly smooth, but even imperfect cut is better than original material that was removed. It's a surprise how different small changes do to the film. Enjoy!

For me the biggest problem were the cheesy one-liners. It was like an 80s buddy movie rather than an Alien movie. But it's possible that those could be easily edited out.

The main offenders were Ron Pearlman's lines as well as the general running the place - he had some goofy expressions and outbursts. Also J.E Freeman as Dr. Wren had some campy moments.

But the visuals were great, I thought and the story had some good elements in it, such as the alien in captivity seemingly testing the scientist through the glass. The backstory of the relationship between the pirates and the military made sense.

What would you keep, what would you cut to make it far less cheesy and more dignified?

Here neither: merely pointing out your argument is invalid (which it is), is not an argument that your conclusion is false, which I simply didn't bother to claim.

Would bothering to claim & argue it's false (reusing your words) "waste my time" & "sully" my attention with an invalid argument? Reusing your language even more

You know the comment is invalid and you don’t delete it, that is tacit endorsement of fallacies. You seem unbothered by that.

I do ignore the message if it is irrational. I won’t weigh your ideas further than necessary if I know the reasoning is poor. I’m not going to waste my time or sully my brain by valuing and evaluating something posing as good reasoning that isn't.

You want me on your team? Don’t disrespect my attention with your poorly reasoned demands. Convey your message like we understand logic instead of abusing our attention with a pretense of a well-thought argument. I don’t ask you to be a perfect human — I ask that you and your messages respect logic if you want me to listen. Flawed reasoning isn’t used to gain allies; it’s used to mislead & exploit the unwitting.

While I don't completely agree with that argument, either (especially the first paragraph), insisting on reasoning/substance seems way more compelling than that original argument (rejecting a message over superficial considerations). You absolutely can, but reasons that it's right or logical are lacking or conflicted.
