Nichijou is Azumanga Daioh for the next generation. It's been long enough, do we have a successor to Nichijou yet?

CITY is coming out this year. Same studio same mangaka similar art style. As close as you can get to Nichijou 2 without being Nichijou 2, probably.

Doki Doki School Hours >>> Azumanga Daiou >>> Nichojou >>> ???

There have been a lot of smaller shows in the same vein (Asoba Asobase, Joshikousei no Mudazukai) but nothing that soundly represents the genre for this era.

Unless you want to count Pop Team Epic.
