Honestly, as much as I can understand people being against lazy AI slop in an effort to skirt working with real artists, it's all about intent/usage. Someone in /c/EDC posted their daily carry as a nice arranged photo, then had it stylized as a wonderful simple drawing with machine learning and people were so rude in the comments. He wasn't going to pay for such a small thing, and he likely didn't have the skill for it himself but it was still a pleasant addition to the post. Brutality in the comments, majority of people not interacting with the post but complaining about ML. Really disheartening.
Havent you seen the kind of burns people who heat food are getting?
They are burning through resources and half of the result tastes like cancer.
Those meals are brutal imitation of the natural foods the planet provides.
Heat based cuisine will never be a thing while trying to harness fire will surely set our society ablaze.
