Imagine having the ability to eradicate malaria and save hundreds of thousands of people per year, and just choosing not to.
To be fair, if they did that, these people would be forced to live only in inexpressibly obscene luxury. And we can't have that.

As far as I can tell he cashed out and is enjoying retirement, which is really the point of it all, innit?
sold for some millions and spends his time enjoy life on beaches and boats and such. Doing what everyone dreams of for retirement. He could have been a billionaire if he kept up the pursuit of money but he realized he had more than he was inclined to spend even with extravagances taken into account.
