Don't forget killing the last Pope.

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 30 points 1 week ago (1 children)

We’re talking about his failures.

[–] ceenote@lemmy.world 35 points 1 week ago (1 children)

That pope was pretty decent, as far as popes go.

[–] yakko@feddit.uk 21 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Find me a lower bar, I'll pay for your digging permit

[–] ceenote@lemmy.world 16 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

I'm just saying: if we get a decent one, let's not kill him, because then he'll get replaced. That's like rerolling a 19.

[–] yakko@feddit.uk 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I think we got a better one, despite the fact he's an American. I'm just saying based on the results so far if we keep killing em, maybe we'll eventually get someone who'll prosecute the pedos.

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 4 points 1 week ago (4 children)

I don't think popes have prosecutorial power...

President of the US?

I had heard this is the story of JD Vance.

When he was young he "thought he was gay". While he was in college, he met Peter Thiel, a gay billionaire who had come to his campus for some talk or something. When they met, the gay billionaire really took an interest in this man who thought he was gay.

At some point, JD Vance says that he stopped thinking he was gay. Meanwhile, Thiel helped Vance find a job. Actually, several jobs. It turns out that Vance kept getting fired from his jobs, but Thiel kept getting him better jobs every time he got fired. Eventually, Thiel helped JD Vance get into the field of politics, where Vance has been in his pocket to this very day.

Now, from my perspective, it's difficult to explain why a businessman would keep finding better jobs for a person who keeps failing at the jobs unless there is something outside of the job that makes it worth it. So, it seems very likely that JD Vance gives world-class blowjobs, and that he is just generally a failure at everything non-sexual.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 55 points 1 week ago (5 children)

Not even kidding, that is a remarkably accurate reading of Vance's resume. Literally EVERY job he's held was because of Peter Theil, including VP. The story is that Peter Theil personally walked Vance into Maralago for a meeting with Trump, and came out with Trump naming Vance as his VP candidate.

It was a deal between Trump and Theil, two of the nastiest Sociopathic Oligarch on the planet, so certainly money changed hands, and Trump didn't mind Blagojeviching the VP seat, since he didn't have to worry about creating the usual coalition to boost the vote, because he knew the election was rigged.

[–] TachyonTele@piefed.social 21 points 1 week ago (1 children)

The election pisses me off so much. They obviously rigged it a lot, so much that trump got mad because he didn't win as strongly as he wanted.

And the dems just gave up before election night was even over. Fuckers

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 11 points 1 week ago (3 children)

You get it 100%. Nothing pisses me off more than DEMS saying Kamala was a bad candidate, and lost. She was actually a decent candidate, far better than Biden was, and she ran a strong campaign, and went into Election Day clearly winning the Enthusiasm Gap.

Trump got reelected because his followers were willing to support his baseless claims that the 2020 election was rigged for an entire four year term. As you pointed out, Dems couldn't even hold it together through the end of election night. Disgraceful.

That's why I've been an Unaffiliated Independent since I registered to vote 50 years ago this month. I find both parties to be corrupt and incompetent, and I don't want to be part of either club.

[–] ikidd@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

When racism and misogyny is on the upswing in an election, they fielded a black woman that was an early (the first?) dropout in the previous term's nomination race, and then vigorously courted the conservative vote via Liz Cheney for some gods unknown reason at the end of the campaign.

If democrat operatives aren't actively trying to sabotage the Democrat Party, I don't know how you interpret it. They'll trip on their own dicks and find someone even less likely to appeal to centrists and alienate leftists next go around, so the Christian Nationalist Party has half a chance.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 3 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I'm convinced that some of these people have been bought, there's no other explanation. MAGA has a virtually unlimited spigot of money, and EVERYBODY has a price. If the word came in that Schmuck Schumer could be bought for a billion bucks, he'd have it by lunchtime.

Exactly brother.
Also, Ive been registered Republican for twenty years, just in case something happens and they use lists. Just in case.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

That's a valid strategy that I've considered, just so I can vote in primaries, and vote for the candidate they hate the most.

[–] TachyonTele@piefed.social 5 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

After trump i refuse the do that. He used to be the worst candidate. There's just no way to know which of the scammers are going to be promoted at the end of the day.

I never voted for him. But i learned the lesson he taught us.

[–] aguasemgas@lemmy.eco.br 41 points 1 week ago (1 children)

And don't forget being the last person to visit Pope Francisco before he died

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 19 points 1 week ago (1 children)

And don't forget ~~being the last person to visit~~ killing Pope Francis~~co before he died~~

Fixed it for you

[–] M0oP0o@mander.xyz 9 points 1 week ago

I think he fucked the pope's couch and the shock of seeing it killed the pope.

[–] DaddleDew@lemmy.world 37 points 1 week ago (2 children)

It's almost like normally when a politician goes to a diplomatic event they're surrounded by experts in many fields to help then navigate the the complex situations and Vance just went by his completely unqualified self and winged it.

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 13 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Rarely have I seen failure of winging it on this scale.

[–] lemmyng@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Sure if it's just "winging it".

But if you consider "right-winging it", look at that, a whole metric ton of failures before your eyes!

[–] TachyonTele@piefed.social 7 points 1 week ago

Because he probably thinks everyone wings it, because he's an idiot.

[–] NycterVyvver@lemmy.world 23 points 1 week ago (1 children)

And Greenland. They forgot Greenland.

Don't forget his failures in Greenland.

[–] criss_cross@lemmy.world 20 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Now it’s tanking Orban’s election. Fuck Orban.

[–] Rooster326@programming.dev 14 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Check again. He's already lost

[–] criss_cross@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago

That’s what I meant. He helped sink his election.

Sorry I wasn’t clear.

[–] Karmanopoly@lemmy.world 17 points 1 week ago (1 children)
[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Maybe they should vote instead of complaining so much.

[–] TachyonTele@piefed.social 6 points 1 week ago

What makes you think we didn't vote

[–] ToaLanjiao@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Thatd involve effort. Its easier to complain about how bad the choices were. Because its impossible to tell the difference. One was a rapist and had a track record of dubious policy. The other had a power suit and dark skin.

The idea that removing Trump makes this guy the president... fucking fuck. But it needs to happen heh.

[–] Bahnd@lemmy.world 16 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Vance can go to Hungary to try and manipulate an election.

Ontario pays for anti-tariff ads in the States and that is interference.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 6 points 1 week ago

trump had the meirdas touch, while VANCE has the touch of death.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 5 points 1 week ago

He also killed a Pope, don't forget that. He was literally the last guy the Pope spoke with, and he was dead within 24 hours. Coincidence? There are no coincidences in politics.

[–] raman_klogius@ani.social 4 points 1 week ago

Truly Vice Presidential stuff, capable of succeeding the oval office should circumstances require it.
