These big tech companies are so ridiculous doing things like this. Everyone must sit and stare at the ads right? :)

I guess everyone knows about Newpipe, otherwise im taking the chance to talk about it here...

So far it's still working for me with Firefox and the "Video Background Play Fix" extension.

I'm confused because for the Android app this has been blocked for years, it's one of the main reason I use RVX.

That's why I use YouTube ReVanced on Android which still works great

Does ReVanced still work? Google broke it at one point so I switched to RVX.

Yup I've been using it for years. For me it breaks about once a year, then I just download the newer version of the YouTube apk the ReVanced Manager application tells me to and repatch it and it works for another year.

Yeah maybe its not new. The article is new but maybe the writer is not that up to date. I dont use the official app myself either.

I have that too! But I don't use it primarily, I can't leave likes or comments and Google patches against it way more than RVX. What I love using it for is downloading YouTube videos on the go.

No idea what the Newpipe is, but uBlock makes sure that I see absolutely zero ads on YouTube.

Its for Android, an app you can install to replace the YouTube app there that throw ads in your face every few minutes.

I also use ublock on desktop Firefox on YouTube, its truly amazing software.
