Unfortunately not all forced to work are able to walk/bike 3 miles, though that is a good suggestion for most people. I'd be thrilled to be able to walk 3 miles to work so long as it is safe.

If you can drive a car to work, there are electrified options available that can use bike lanes.

My work is only a few miles away and it only takes me 10 minutes to get there on my bike: I was lucky enough to find a place near work without it being impossible to ride though.

I was about to crash out but then I saw the community I was in. whew!

like just get a bike for 3 miles and stfu knock down your travel times get exercise it's not a hard! see, I still had to rant even a little. sorry lol

Yep, my area is like that. Long lines starting at 2:30 every day, lasting until at least 7. All along the entire route, there are new, enormous complexes going up on every square inch of open ground, and almost no road widening. When they do try to increase the infrastructure, by the time it's finished, it's already built up too much for the new roads to handle.
