Possibly it has an origin somewhere, but it sounds like general revivalist rythm used everywhere from Gaither Vocal Band to Hillsong, with some Elvis stylization thrown in. If you ever go to a predominantly black church you'll here them just vibing to it during praise and worship

The choir in the background here is what comes to mind first. It's got those elongated syllables with a call and response that's very typical revivalist southern gospel.
