Whoever builds like this should be chained inside the fridge, and the fridge thrown into the ocean.

Make it play long form ads on the inside of the fridge-tomb that let the inhabitant skip the ad after 30 seconds, but it's always just more ads. Other fridges, ones without ads, ones with better buoyancy, ones with more cubic space for precious oxygen, that sort of thing. But intersperse those ads with self-promoting ads extolling the industry leading, longest lasting nuclear power supply allowing your fridge to operate perfectly fine even in the depths of an ocean for up to the next 10,000 years
