The popularity of Trump in the USA scares the shit out of me. It’s absolutely disturbing to see from the outside. Like we have trump people here but not 40 fucking percent.

I’m from the US, and I only left a few years ago, but I can’t really recognize it anymore.
I used to work at the headquarters of a fortune 200 company (one of the largest 200 companies in the US, for reference, Adobe is #201), which is probably the most conservative environment I’ve ever been in (though it was still in New England, so take that with a grain of salt). Sometimes I think about my former coworkers and try to imagine them as trump supporters, which is difficult to do. I have no issue picturing them as diehard Kamala supporters, and I can imagine them being totally unmoved by the genocide in Palestine, but one of three things must be true: society is so stratified that I just don’t know many trump supporters; people have significantly changed since 2021; or they were hiding.
For real. Coming to grips with the fact that more than half of the people around me (Midwest US) voted for this motherfucker to come back has been incredibly difficult. I do not trust my fellow Americans to do the right thing anymore. I no longer believe that most people are good. MAGA has fully exposed the selfish, rotten core of a hefty chunk of the populace.
Garbage in, garbage out. Most people have terrible taste and don’t have any clue what is good for them or their relationships with others/their environment. We are just monkeys with calculators after all

Not from the USA, but my worry would be that hes got a pretty big gun. You only need one of these jokers for about 20 seconds to fuck up countless lives forever.
