Looks like Apple's dreams of a smashing Liquid Glass success have been shattered.

I really hope Liquid Glass stays. I much prefer it over the boring ass oversimplified design from before.

I just want it to be a touch more frosted. The controls are hard for my aging eyes to see at times.

I’m just glad they’re trying something different and listening to feedback.

Liquid Glass is an unfinished product.

Regardless of what people think about Liquid Ass, I feel sorry for the developers who now have to keep their apps updated for two completely different design languages. I hope Apple makes it easy on the devs but to me this reads like the onus is on you (the dev) to keep the design good and consistent across both Liquid and Solid Snake.

They’ll go to all that trouble, and then in a year or two Apple will backtrack completely. It’s not worth the effort to update your app to glass.

I like Liquid Ass on my iPhone. On my Watch… I could take it or leave it, but I guess it’s pretty. On my Macs? I don’t like what they’ve done to Finder. The icon. The borders. It’s ugly AF.

I’ll probably keep Liquid Ass though. It’s fine. If I had an older iPhone I might consider ditching it, though.

Good. That thing should never have left beta.

How does liquid glass affect battery life on older iPhones? I’ve got a 13 pro and have avoided upgrading because I, personally, remember windows vista (not good, people are saying)

I have a 13 pro and battery life seems unaffected. Maybe it’s because I don’t use my phone a whole lot during work hours, but it hasn’t been an issue for me. Liquid Glass is unobtrusive, but sometimes that can be a bad thing. UI elements shouldn’t always blend in with the content. Overall, I can live with it.
