Michelangelo probably had interns(assistants and apprentices), he didn't shoulder all of the suffering of craneing his neck to paint the ceiling of the sistine chapel. (But he did some and the interns were human and they did too, so the point still stands, but thought it was worth mentioning ๐ ).
Comic Strips
Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- AI-generated comics aren't allowed.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

When I consume AI art, it also evokes a feeling,
BOOB SHARK
Good, bad, neutral -- whatever.
until I find out that it's AI art.
Then I feel deflated, grossed out, and maybe a little bit bored
Can't relate to that (yet), as I haven't been fooled by AI art (yet)... ๐
Picture this: it's early 1900' and you're a opera singer or an actor for a Shakespeare's play and you're asked to give your opinion on Cinema... and someone theorize even TV to you.
I know what you're going to say: these talentless people is coming to steal your job.
Cinema is not a recognized art form: is a gimmick, a trick made with a huge number of photos.
Those who want to call themselves "actors" are just talentless people who need "one right shot" and being patched in a sequence of "right shots" to complete a wanna-be play. But that not how you make are: every night, every play, you need to walk on stage, in front of the public and deliver "true" art.
Advice? If you were an actor for live theater in the beginning of the 1900... just shut up for a a pair of decades to make sure is not actually art: or you're going to record in the history how much of a... uhm.... short sighted person you were.
Humans make arts, humans decide what's art... Usually this happen in the switch of the next generation of humans: everything can be a tool for art, future generations of humans decide if they want to call it art or not.
This analogy doesn't work; acting for cinema still involves acting. Typing a prompt doesn't involve drawing.
I'm not a known artist. I like to paint and draw, but except a few paintings I did as presents, everything ends in my drawer. So, A.I. doesn't threaten my livelihood. And until they make 3D printers that can emulate the brush strokes or oil pastels on canvas, nobody can accuse me of painting with A.I. Still, I often use A.I. to help me with my painting.
Whenever possible, I use my photographs as a model for a painting. However, I often want to paint something I don't have a picture of. In those cases, I generate one using A.I. For example, right now I'm doing a series of Halloween paintings. A prompt of the likes of "Halloween pumpkin with flaming eyes, sitting of the ground, with twisted plants in Tim Burton style, and a red full moon illuminating the scene from top right" gives me the midel for my painting in minutes, rather than spending hours in Inkscape or Gimp.
with the invention of AI, are we cyborgs now?
