Browsing around Gaza on Google Maps and came across this, which tickled my dark sense of humour. I'm going to hell.
That said, I have no idea how old the satellite photos are, but the scale of the destruction of Gaza is pretty mind-blowing and horrifying.
I will never forgive my country for supplying ~70% of the arms and bombs used to commit this genocide.
That said, I truly hope that it is temporary, with a free Palestine and proper reparations. If only. ❤️
Arms support usually goes both ways - first you hand over bombs to annihilate a settlement, then you move in with your construction industry to “rebuild” the razed city. It’s a lucrative business, unless you’re Gazan.
Well obviously I don't want it to be a successful imperial project that steals the land and builds over the graves of those that resisted their annihilation. I said reparations and I meant it.
I was on Google Maps recently, looking at reviews of Israeli businesses on the border with Palestine, assuming I would find Pro-Palestine comments in the reviews, and I did. But I found a restaurant owner responding to the negative reviews with wild hatred of Palestinians.
It’s also just a dumb move to make fun of the thing that they can’t affect. You could talk about the cuisine being substandard or the proprietors being sloppy, but making fun of them for not having food is just stomach turning
