Playing around with the reflections textures and some archival transparencies from some beta builds of windows 8. I can't help but feel this is exactly how this texture was meant to be applied to the explorer shell. Kind of like the office suite at the time, if any of you played around with the different textures you could apply there.

Screenshot information

Note: My change log claims to be version 1.2(which comes after 1.14). Bliss 2016 rescan, a full res version of windows 11 img50, as well as PixelSense and office template backgrounds might be missing from the archive I linked. No idea what's up with that.

“My belief is that art should not be comforting; for comfort, we have mass entertainment and one another. Art should provoke, disturb, arouse our emotions, expand our sympathies in directions we may not anticipate and may not even wish.” - Joyce Carol Oates

Thanks! It's technically possible to get running there, you'll just have to hunt down the latest commit where your dependency versions are in sync.

Saving this for later. This is really clean. Does it work with flatpak and gtk apps?

GTK can be coerced into using the window frames. If you check out the git there are some discussions on this topic. Apparently gtk3-classic works best.

Definitely get involved! :)

This really looks like Win7. May I ask, is it possible to have small taskbar icons and no grouping with window title enabled just like on Win7? And does two row taskbar also work?

It's using the regular plasma taskbar so yes.
