The last component for my Specialized Aethos: 120mm aluminum stem, with titanium bolts. It's the S-Works branded lightweight stem now sold under the name "Roval Alpinist": either this branding change or the visibly corroded aluminium found on the screw threads was the reason it was reduced to less than 1/3 MSRP (plus maybe being 120mm length, but I don't think it's too uncommon). Galvanic corrosion had its good time, this must have sat on a shelf for some years. I cleaned everything up and assembly-greased every contact surface.

Anyway, at 132g measured weight nothing crazy, but it's solid and with very minimal branding, which I like.

In the meantime, a sparkling wireless Ultegra Di2 groupset sits in the frame and the next post will be the full bike!

The least inspiring close up fotos, ever, here you are:

Stems are never very exciting unless they're some fancy custom ones (or an excitingly painted one!) but there you go...

Looking forward to seeing the complete build!
