Can't wait until a teams update ends up bricking the car's OS

[–] XeroxCool@lemmy.world 7 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Currently-new Teams just closes itself on me. It's a great feature for those urgent messages

[–] lemming741@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago

I had that problem on new new teams but not on new teams. Old teams works better on the company intra-net.

Remember when Microsoft Teams disabled Emergency Calls on Google Pixel devices?

[–] atzanteol@sh.itjust.works 28 points 10 months ago (2 children)

Mercedes says the Microsoft partnership turns your car into a "third workspace"

Horaaaaaay, question mark?

The people buying these aren't the workers being forced into meetings. They're the idiots who think meetings are the real work. So they can be in a meeting wherever they are without dragging out the laptop and pretend they're the ones making money before they have an expensive dinner while they're making the people who hate meetings work late.

"I scheduled this meeting for near end of day so I could be halfway to my country house"

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 10 months ago

That's a selling point? Fucking gross.

[–] DarkCloud@lemmy.world 22 points 10 months ago

You have to pay a subscription to remove teams.

Aboringdystopia

I'm not sure if this is worse as a worker or a pedestrian

The day I hear the teams ringtone coming from my car is the day I swerve into oncoming traffic

[–] Bot@sub.community 9 points 10 months ago

‘I’m driving’ is no longer an excuse for not attending the meeting!

[–] mrgoosmoos@lemmy.ca 7 points 10 months ago

this very much sounds like it shouldn't be allowed

it still makes no sense to me that you can get in trouble for glancing at your phone (not actually using it), but new cars come with a whole bunch of distracting touch screen tech

[–] OutlierBlue@lemmy.ca 6 points 10 months ago

Teams runs like shit, randomly crashes, and is sluggish. None of those things are what you want associated with your car.

If I could afford Mercedes, I would be very upset.

[–] DarkSurferZA@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago

So, do I upvoted the post cause it really is an onion headline, or do I downvote because vomit?
