Plasma 6 Bugs

If you encounter a bug, proceed to https://bugs.kde.org/, check whether it has been reported.

If it hasn't, report it yourself.

PLEASE THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE POSTING HERE.

Developers do not look for reports on social media, so they will not see it and all it does is clutter up the feed.

Do you use a drawing tablet with Linux? You can share your device info in two easy steps - no coding skills required! πŸ’™

Help KDE devs like @redstrate build driver support.

@kde@floss.social @redstrate @kde@lemmy.kde.social How about support for fingerprint sensors? I don't have drivers for mine and don't really know how to make them myself πŸ˜…

Are you only interested in tablet PCs? I have a drawing tablet I connect to my PC, does that count?

[–] Bro666@lemmy.kde.social 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yes, absolutely. Go for it, please.

@Bro666 @Lumelore I was asking about the same. Also this happily falls on place as I was to plug my gfx tablet to a Linux computer anyway

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I would probably phrase this as "using/running Linux on the tablet, not the other way around. Just a minute detail. πŸ˜…

Pretty sure it's about drawing tablets, not post-ipad tablets.

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Ah, the title has changed now, yes, then the phrasing makes a lot more sense! Thanks friend.

I was gonna ask for this, how I can help because I own an xp-pen and want to help

I do, I have this little Lenovo piece of manufactured ewaste that was capable of running Windows 10...in a perfectly flat frictionless vacuum. It briefly ran Fedora KDE, then I tried Fedora Gnome, which seemed more tablet friendly because the UI is big dumb iPad style, doesn't make me hate Gnome any less. I may attempt KDE again.

@kde@floss.social @redstrate @kde@lemmy.kde.social Tagging @VermStudio and @Venerabela cuz y'all are experimenting with Linux (KDE is the overarching project maintaining Krita, but this will apply more universally to other art applications that can run under Linux)

And you may've already seen it but @Adorable_Sergal this might be worthwhile to you as well!

@kde@floss.social @redstrate @kde@lemmy.kde.social Is this exclusive to Wacom tablets or is this an indiscriminate and extensive collection of device IDs

[–] bonn2@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 week ago

I'll check to see if my specific thinkpad is on the list when I get off work.

Does a 1st gen Microsoft Surface Pro count?

@kde@floss.social @kde@lemmy.kde.social I use a graphics tablet, but it's VEIKK brand and requires a proprietary binary driver to work on Linux
https://veikk.com/route/v2/support/download

There was an open source project at one point, but development ceased after VEIKK released their own driver

https://github.com/jlam55555/veikk-linux-driver

EDIT: Didn't paste complete veikk link on first post.
