I support moving to Piefed
I think you can transfer your posts over, so you wouldn't lose your work. You've put a lot of effort into this community and it'd be a shame to lose that
It only transfers to piefed though, so anyone interacting with it from outside of piefed won't see it
Yeah, I think TV and movie communities would probably benefit even more than chat and ask communities by starting with content for people to see and not starting from scratch all over again.
It's a pity that piefed doesn't add to the subscriber count yet (I never knew that) but personally as a user looking for a place to sub to, I'm looking at the amount of content more than the subscriber count.
Yes you can see the interactions on posts so you know how busy it is
Note, me and Blaze already started tinkering with the piefed.social community I set up some weeks ago and it has reached 100 local subscribers with very little advertisement.
I like the Piefed software but im a bit concerned that there is basically only one big instance right now, on the dev server.
It's not ideal, but we have a time constraint with lemm.ee shutting down at the end of the month.
We can always move to other inistances later.

Just a small comment about LW: we all see the impact of Lemm.ee going down, and it only hosts a few active communities.
9 out of the 10 most active communities on Lemmy are LW, and you can quickly see how prevalent they are for the platform: https://lemmyverse.net/communities?order=active_day
Adding yet another community to that instance adds to the impact of it potentially going down.
