Red Bull also confirmed that checo is staying for the rest of the season.

Glad this saga is finally over. I wonder what eventually made him choose Williams over Alpine.

Stable management vs chaos? Just a guess

Mercedes engine in Williams instead of under performing Renault engine in Alpine?

[โ€“] narc0tic_bird@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago (3 children)

They are switching to Mercedes engines though..?

They are thinking about switching to Mercedes engines.

Well, it's not acted: Renault needs approval from Viry's labor unions.

Who, Alpine? I thought that was 2026.

Vowels letting him(and his team) write the contract probably.

I guess that one year at Sauber would have been too painful to wait out.

That's huge for Williams. I wonder what made him choose them over other teams.

you think Williams is paying him more than Red Bull, Mercedes or Audi?

That's about the only way for a consistently bottom tier team to land someone of his talent and experience

Hopefully this will start the great driver change.

[โ€“] GreatRam@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

I wonder how much Williams is paying him
