It has been mentioned for several days on other sites, but not here. Be warned, this is a scam.

Shattered Pixel Dungeon is free-as-in-freedom software licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 3. Anyone is allowed to compile and sell exact or modified versions of the software as long as their versions also retain the GPLv3 license. You can also see https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/selling.en.html.

If this version of Shattered Pixel Dungeon is not distributing source code or is not licensed under GPLv3, then it is violating the license. If it is distributing the source code and is licensed under GPLv3, then it is not violating the license.

I'm here from All, unfamiliar with the game. What is the scam, exactly? The existence of this community probably indicates that there is a real Pixel Dungeon and this one is a fake/cloned version?

Correct! Also the game is open source and is trivially easier to clone as such.

The game is free and open source. The original version called "Pixel Dungeon" has actually been taken down from Play store due to lack of maintenance, but the torch is being carried on by the mods (Shattered PD being the most prominent). This scammy version seems to be aiming to come off as the original.

As annoying as these sorts of apps are, it's best to ignore them. The vast majority of people aren't going to buy this and it'll fall down the search results quickly. Just report it as impersonation and move on.

FYI, I purchased a copy, $0.49 now, which is itself very suspecious.

I decompiled and examined. It appears to be your SPD v2.5.4 with only 2 changes. The package has been renamed to com.pixel.dungeon and the icon has been changed. Otherwise, it doesn't appear altered.

Actually, this pisses me off. If it had a significant mod at least it might have been worth something. Too, that is money being stolen away from 00-Evan. Anyhow, I'm letting this drop. I'll note it in the releases report I do and hope Google burries it.

I just searched for it on Play store, and jesus christ the search is so bad it has only turned up SPD and "Rearranged PD", the rest is unrelated garbage that has almost nothing to do with the keywords. So I wouldn't even worry too much about this scam version, it's buried god knows where...
