This is a community to discuss the housing crisis in Canada.
All so Canadians can find a decent home to live in.
Racism is still absolutely prohibited, but you are welcome to debate population growth, immigration rate, foreign home buyers, and the merits of single family homes or the green zone.
A merge of r/canadahousing and r/canadahousing2 for those coming from Reddit.
Bits of the sidebar and logo taken from those subs and will be going through a slight revision as things get settled.

Interesting! I hope the BHA is able to deliver on the 2 projects that are underway. And that they can secure the funds necessary for an ongoing and aggressive expansion of purpose-built affordable housing in Burnaby ๐ค๐ฝ
A lot of large cities have them... but there's no mandate. We need a mandate for every city over a threshold to have one.
Would be nice if the federal government could start to provide funding for such projects on a large scale (like only a federal government can), without worrying about the political ramifications of homeowners upset about stagnant (or depreciating) property prices.
