Are audacity still the good guys? Iirc the project was purchased by a company at some point and there was this whole tenacity fork thingie.

Not sure, I moved to one of the forks that pulled out the telemetry and made an appimage available.

fwiw audacity pulled out the telemetry the same week they were planning to add it unless you mean error reporting and update checking

That's good for them, the tool I have does what I need from it, and since it's an appimage I don't have to pay attention to updates. Thanks for the info tho.
