This tells me that you've never been to Spain.
This tells me you aren't familiar with white heritage racism in the US
Anything mediterranean isn't white in traditional American Racism(tm). In fact, even Irish people weren't considered completely white for the longest time.
That's so utterly bizarre that I don't know how to deal with it, especially the implication that South America then never was colonized by white people.
The thing about the whole "us vs them" mentality is that you can always go more specific about who "us" is until you've got like 5 superior human beings and everyone else is subhuman.
It never made sense and never will. That's racism for you.
What about the famous singer Henry Churches?
Just need to know where to look.
