Citrus roasted turkey breast, stovetop stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, feta side salad with a vinaigrette, canned cranberry sauce(not pictured), green bean casserole. Wash it down with a glass of Caymus Cabernet

Happy Thanksgiving! How’d the turkey come out? Mine was a bit salty in places. Should’ve distributed the dry brine a bit better and probably let it brine for longer so that the salt could soak through more evenly. It’s all good though as I’m taking notes for next time. :)

Turkey turned out great thanks for asking. I do a dry brine as well. 36 hours or so is how long it sits for me. I also do a butter rub and stuff the cavity with orange and lemon pieces. It's amazing how the citrus really penetrates the meat while it roasts.

Ah I only did lemon for citrus but the addition of orange sounds nice. I’ll see if I can remember that for next year. I also plan on slathering on way more herbed butter. Can’t hurt!
