Birth rates are falling, because raising kids is darn expensive.
Make it easier for people to raise kids (take the money from billionaires, provide daycare, increase pay so one person can afford providing for the family) and people will be more eager to have kids.
I would take that further and say have one parent have enough money from one job so either parent can stay home.
Minimum wage is supposed to be that high.
That's the metric it was the minimum for.
Yup!
But capitalism is a dogshit, self-destructive and nonsensical system. At best, well made regulation can hold the worst of it at bay.
In reality though... Well, we can just look around to see why a bandaid isnt a fix.
