This was called openOffice at one point, right?

LibreOffice is a fork from OpenOffice, which was at the time Oracle's property.

At the time? Did Oracle shut Openoffice down or give up claim to it as it's own property?

When LibreOffice won the fork war back in 2010, Oracle abandoned OpenOffice and the Apache Foundation took it under its governance in 2011. But OpenOffice is basically dead nowadays (last version is almost 2 years old with known vulnerabilities), all the development effort is focused on LibreOffice.
