Over 500 of the world’s leading cryptographers, security researchers, and scientists from 34 countries have today delivered a devastating verdict on the EU’s proposed “Chat Control” regulation. An open letter published this morning declares the plan to mass-scan private messages is “technically infeasible,” a “danger to democracy,” and will “completely undermine” the security and privacy of all European citizens.

Jesus Christ, this is still a terrible idea. I'm not from the EU, how many countries have to vote against it to stop it? Is it still feasible?

Just need Germany to go against again, they were against a few weeks ago and changed to undecided for w/e fucking reason

it would even be enough for germany to abstain from voting. I don't understand that either btw, but i don't understand any nation which says yes to this bullshit, because the european court of justice has spoken very clear words when they judged that this crap is against human rights.
