That's the point.
Conservatives got tired of progressives attacking the Second Amendment. Now they're coming for the First. They're already trying to get people fired who criticize the current administration.
It would be nice and easy to blame this on partisan right-wing American politics, but with age-gating laws on the books or soon to go into effect in Australia, UK, and California (and probably more), it's not really that simple.
The ruling class in general. Whether they wear red or blue.
