What's the least expensive way to enter these careers?

Which career would you rather have, and why?

Check out IBEW, they may have an apprenticeship program in your area that will allow you to work while you go to their trade school, and potentially even get paid to go to their trade school IIRC. I ended up going to college for electrical engineering in the end instead, so just check out the ibew generally and if they ahve any apprenticeships open near you or where you can relocate specifically.

Thanks, looked it up but IBEW only operates in North America, not in the UK.

I searched for UK electrical apprenticeships and came up with this government website. Hopefully it helps.
