They're pretty much the same price here in Chicago right now. It does indeed happen from time to time. I've also seen Diesel vastly outprice gasoline and vice versa.

And the Midwest likes to fuck people with $1-$1.10 jump for premium.
I swear I remember a time when midgrade was 10 cents higher and premium was 10 cents higher than that. My car also enjoys premium and it's got me wanting to ask for a few days work from home.
Used to be, you're right. Maybe 25 years ago lol
