Everytime MWM deliver things like this few else are doing it makes me so happy I send my money their way each month.
๐ฉท They deserve our support. They seem to be the only media group that are pretty fearless and go beyond just reporting.
They aren't, theres a whole swag now. But they're definitely more established now.
List of independent media in Aus

I've also been finding more local news sources for WA than I imagined there still were. Its been good to see, and i'd love to be able to do something to boost their public perception and presence as well.
I've got a losse idea to create a local news centralising website using Bonfire Networks to link all these companies while maintaining their individuality, but i don't know how it gels with copyright, and it takes money and time, so its a slow burn with more thought required. I'll have to post something here one day about the idea because I'm sure the people on here would have a lot of good ideas for the project.
Your centralising website idea โญ
Imo it would be very useful for readers but also for the diverse news groups. For example, if there were an event or situation in which some or all of them agreed upon they could make group representations, open letters, etc and make their voices better heard and save on resources. To soothe (or stop) the slow burn, perhaps discussing your idea with MWM or another independent news group their opinion might help. If you got them on side they might support you via their networks.
Thank you for the list. There are some I had not heard of so I'll have a look at them. I think we need independent media more than ever.
