Yes thank you. The most rational take on here. My kids' school grades everything on a 4 point rubric. All tests have a rubric and all the teachers use that for each assignment. It clearly spells out what the teacher is looking for and every entry on the rubric is linked to a state standard. They mark where the student is for each listed standard on a scale from 0 to 4. Doing poorly on a test hurts your grade but it doesn't destroy it.
