The comments in this thread are wild.

History lesson: the Iranians have been getting attacked by "the west", unprovoked, since the British (and USSR) invaded them in WW2 because they insisted on remaining neutral. The first regime change launched against them in modern history was literally so American weapons could be shipped over their land to the USSR against their will. That the current regime are "bad guys" is irrelevant. The US does not give a shit at all about the well being of the Iranian people or how good/bad the regime is, only have malleable to US interests they are.
