The law gives the Interior Minister power to expel first-degree relatives—parents, siblings, spouses—of those Israel labels as “terrorists.” Deportation can be triggered by: ➤ Expressing praise or support for a banned group (including nearly all Palestinian factions) ➤ Withholding information about an alleged attack

Who is affected? ➤ Israeli citizens: 7–15 years of deportation ➤ East Jerusalem residents: 10–20 years ➤ Deportees to be expelled to Gaza or “another location”

Zeina Barbar’s Case

➤ Barbar, a 24-year old Palestinian from East Jerusalem, a member of PFLP, was released from Israeli prison as part of the current prisoner exchange deal. ➤ Israel now seeks to deport her over her father’s past conviction—despite no evidence linking her to violence. ➤ Israeli media alleges she expressed support for Palestinian factions on social media. ➤ Two others, Tasnim Odeh and Mohammad Abu Halwa, also face expulsion for being relatives of “terrorists” and showing support To Palestinian groups on social media.

Legal experts think Israel’s Supreme Court is likely to strike down the law.

The hashtag #אבו_חטוב ("Abu Fit") is everywhere, including Abu Ali Express, Israel's leading Telegram channel, with more than half a million followers. He's so popular that the IDF used to pay him for propaganda consultation.

The "Abu Fit diet program" jokes make fun of Palestinians who come out of Israel's concentration camp looking visibly starved. "Normal" Israelis are delighted by this "humor" and by any display of Palestinian suffering. A truly sick sadistic society.

Following are a few of the "Abu Fit" jokes posted on the Abu Ali Express Telegram channel, with translation from Hebrew.

[Histoire] La négation du génocide à Gaza dans les études sur l’Holocauste

@israelpalestine
www.contretemps.eu/negation-genocide-gaza-etudes-holocauste/

The IDF's preliminary investigation found that the man was shot and killed inside the car without trying to breach the checkpoint or threaten the soldiers. His pregnant wife, Sundus Shalabi, 23, was able to get out of the car and was shot three times in the chest. The Palestinian Health Ministry said rescue teams were unable to save the life of the fetus.

According to the investigation, the pregnant woman "looked suspiciously at the ground." She was unarmed, and no weapons were found near her that might have served as evidence she was trying to place an explosive device.

"Everyone who is killed today in Judea and Samaria is someone who is 'messing with the ground,' even if he's not standing there digging at that moment, or doesn't have a weapon on him that could lead to suspicion that he intends to plant an explosive device," an army source operating in the West Bank said.

On Saturday, Saddam Hussein Iyad Rajab, 7, died of his wounds from IDF fire ten days earlier at his grandfather's home in the Tul Karm refugee camp. The shooting was documented, with the video showing him falling to the ground screaming in pain. The IDF initially claimed that forces thought that Rajab "was messing with the ground" in a suspicious way, which was why the forces shot him. The Military Police is investigating the circumstances of the boy's death and the conduct of the forces in the incident.

The level of urban starvation in Gaza has not been seen since the Dutch Hunger Winter and the siege of Leningrad during the Second World War.
