I appreciate the consideration. Honestly, I can see better now than in my 20s thanks to years of conscious effort to train my brain to use that eye too. When I finally got a vision test at around five years old, I was already pretty bad off in the one eye, but the other was fine at the time, so my brain just kind of learned to use it for peripheral vision and not much else. Hopefully I don't get macular degeneration or a detached retina, but what can you do but make the best of it? Take care out their folks, and get your kids eyes checked!

As far as I know only one company does, so uh, hope you like them because it's that or glasses thick as a submarine window. Even with the -16 I can still only get to 20/50 vision thanks to the early onset cataracts caused by the extreme myopia. Is what it is though, I don't complain.

Could be worse, -12.5 and -16 in contacts for me. Prefer it to being blind though.

That's been my take on it for sure.

If this were to happen, it would probably be because he started the fire by burning evidence that implicates him, and only "saved" the baby because he's a god damn pedophile.

At this piont, me too I guess. I don't like to be accelerationist, but what other options are there? There isn't enough coordination for a general strike, and they've been making moves this entire time to weaken voting rights and install their cohorts in positions of power over the voting system. What now?

Nah, voter apathy is a thing. I had one guy tell me he wasn't going to voter anymore so he wouldn't be responsible for whatever happens. This came from someone that was wearing amaga hats and had signs all in his yard. All gone now. Obviousky there are die hards, but some people are cracking and I welcome it enthusiasticly.

I mean, not especially as far as guns go. It's not like gun violence/negligence impacts my life constantly. The only reason I even own any guns beyond a few heirlooms is because of the rise of fascism and the fact that most gun nuts are right there with them. In my opinion and experience, there are larger issues with the US that feed gun violence and suicides, like the lack of social safety nets, public transit, rugged individualism, and the lack of representation in government. I'm not defending the absurd amount of guns in this country, and if there ever is a thoughtful approach to reducing the amount of guns in personal possession, I am all for it. I enjoy target practice, mostly with a 22 rifle, and would be perfectly fine with visiting a properly regulated range to rent a rifle and plink some targets.

All my guns are unloaded and in a safe, and my ammo is in a separate safe. Some people are complete idiots though and in a country with such liberal gun policies, this is the result. I am all for sensible gun control, and I hope this dumbass never gets their hands on another one, but knowing this country she still won't fail a background check.

I was talking with someone yesterday that had a giant Trump sign in his yard well after the last election. Sign was taken down months ago and he was saying the he doesn't even want to vote anymore because he doesn't want to be responsible for who gets into office. That's not an insignificant change. I live in the south and I have only heard one person saying anything remotely positive about him out loud, and they had to state that it wasn't all good in the same sentence. Trump does not have the support he did when elected because these people sleep waling through life are waking up to at least a measure of reality.

Up until now, I've never bought a brand new guitar, so I figured I could make up for all those savings and get something nice!

I'm hoping to get some help here. I finally took the plunge and installed Bazzite to a spare drive, and during the initial installation setup I was able to connect to my wifi. After booting up for the first time I noticed it said no connection. I see the wifi device listed, but I don't see anyway to connect. It doesn't find any networks. I've searched around but haven't found any solutions yet, and I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I greatly appreciate any help here, and I'm happy to provide any further information if necessary.
