Oh nice, that looks like a great start. Is that just custom CSS you can use in the piefed settings or a full blown them the piefed admin has to install?

I mean like the original reddit layout. So it looks similar like this lemmy front end: https://old.lemmy.zip/

Ah! That's a start. Much appreciated!

Cheers, yes I already tried all the themes they mostly change the colors and fonts tho. A little padding at best. Maybe someone created a custom CSS for it, which you can apply right under the themes section. But I haven't found anything yet.

Yes I am aware, that's what I am using right now. But that'S lemmy and I was wondering if I can "transform" piefed in a way that comes closer to that.

Is there a theme or css for piefed that makes it look more like old reddit? I love the old reddit frontend for lemmy but sadly it seems to abandoned.

The problem I see is that the independent app market will not survive this if the audience of "normal" Android devices is gone. Most devs won't bother developing apps that are not available on the play store, so alternative roms are not a solution in most markets.

Oh right, thanks for the clarification, got those confused.

Does anybody know what happened to sailfishOS? Did Volla abandoned it and switched to an Android based OS?

Not a big fan of the clean vocals but the song is nice besides that.

BitCraft Online an upcoming AAA mmo goes open source

Hi all,

I use ublock origin in medium blocking mode which blocks a lot of urls by default, google / youtube included. For the longest time I have to unblock, google.com, googlestatic.com, youtube.com (and usually some more) every time I want to watch an embedded video.

I don't use the youtube website in general, I use freetube for all my youtube watching. Libredirect even opens direct youtube links in freetube but it can't handle embedded videos (at least not in a way without unblocking the urls before).

The best solution would be a userscript or extension that replaces all embedded youtube videos with links I can click to open them in freetube. I was surprised I couldn't find something like this. Does anybody know about a solution?

*EDIT: I found a a way to make embedded youtube videos clickable: https://xcancel.com/gorhill/status/1377613397710229506#m

This is straight from the ublock origin developers. Sadly even in this case you have to globally unblock youtube.com and google.com which is a no go for me.

Cheers
