I can't answer the banking app question, but in regards to ease of installation, i'd recommend checking out the web installation guide beforehand so you can estimate how comfortable you'd be following it.

The Pixel 8 is great with GrapheneOS! You don't need to be very tech savvy to use it.

Just keep in mind that Tuta does not support PGP or S/MIME.

Are you using an AUR helper?

Looks like it's trying to update spdlock to version 1.17.0-1, but kddockwidgets-qt6, which seems to be installed from the AUR, requires version 1.16-64. A quick look on the package details page of kddockwidgets tells you that it's actually available from the official repositories since last november (look at the pinned comment). That version is also newer and probably doesn't require an old version of spdlog.

So i'd suppose uninstalling kddockwidgets-qt, installing kddockwidgets from the official repository, and then trying to update again should fix your issue.

Thank you! I already saw the last update post, very useful to better understand how everything works here.

I also already subscribed to a bunch of communities just going off of their name, and now that you're pointing it out, it will be very interesting to see the differences between them from instance to instance. Probably a lot more diverse than on centralized platforms. I'll definitely check these two out too, thanks!

On sorting: There's a sorting help that explains the differences.

What up, y'all :)

I had an eye on the fediverse for a certain time now and have finally decided to make accounts and actually participate. I never used much social media (if you can even call the fediverse that, feels like the word has been ruined) so i guess it's gonna be a bit of a bumpy start but what can you do.

I'm mostly interested in Linux, FOSS and system administration related topics (having the time of my life right now configuring my setup and writing silly scripts for all kinds of stuff) with a novice-level interest in networking and cybersecurity (not that i'm very advanced in the aforementioned topics, lol).

If you've got some good tips on easy to miss communities or just fediverse advice in general, feel free to share, i appreciate it! Glad to be here :)

side note: i just figured out cowsay has alternative designs so please enjoy this ascii llama:
