By “we” I assume you mean Americans? I’m a Latvian and from my perspective, you don’t have to give too much of a shit about the states you named. A lot of them are doing just fine. Especially Poland, Czechia and Slovenia.

What I personally care about, not just when it comes to Americans, is a bit more of a spine. I’m sure Putin would break faster if the pressure was harder. And I’m sure Europe could take the discomforts of war time economy. Instead there’s been pussyfooting.

That said, I’m just an average Joe, I might just be ignorant.

You're aware that there are other Slavs than Russians tho, right? For example, Ukrainians are Slavs.

Long story short - I moved from a country where there’s an abundance of black soil to a country with a dry climate and not much black soil. Not only that, I moved from an apartment to a house with plenty of land. I believe strongly that growing my own produce is the way to go, but sadly I lack a lot of skill.

What I want to do is to plant a few plants, bushes and trees to get started with gardening, but I’m not sure whether the types that I want to plant will take well to the soil.

So the first logical step in my mind is to figure out what kind of a soil I’ve got and what it’s well suited for and can I make it work for some things that it might not be ideal for.

That’s why I was super hyped when I found this community, but it looks like people here are mostly posting articles and the discussions are more on the specialist/scientific side, so I hope my question doesn’t stick out as unwanted.

This is my favourite image from what is probably the last roll of colour film I will shoot. Never say never, but everything is so expensive now that sadly I can’t justify buying colour film anymore.

I’ve been thinking about switching to black and white, buying rolls of Fomapan and loading it myself. Can anyone share experience with packing film on your own, what’s the cost per roll?
