No, Texas (nor any other state) can not secede from the Union.

https://www.sll.texas.gov/faqs/can-texas-secede

Can Texas secede? I heard it is one of the only states that can secede from the United States.

It is a common misunderstanding that Texas has the right to leave the United States. The Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) addresses this on their page about Texas’s annexation:

It is said of Texas (and, occasionally, Vermont) that it received a letter or document of permission to withdraw from the Federal Union if it so chose. […] In fact, Texas received no special terms in its admission to the Union. Once Texas had agreed to join the Union, she never had the legal option of leaving, either before or after the Civil War.

That's awesome! Thanks for the info. Hopefully we can see something like this implemented in the near future.

No idea if this is feasible or not, but could the fediverse have an internal DNS-esque system where domain details could be updated to reflect communities moving?

Somewhere, a Karen is smiling while reading this, thinking about those brats down the street...

I'm in the same boat with my Sync for Lemmy app. People discuss what their instance has or doesn't have, and it all goes over my head because I never see the webpage versions. But Sync is apparently abandonware, so I'll be looking to change things up. Moving to @Lemmy.zip, but I'll see how Piefed looks once there's a solid app.

Idk about cordless specifically, but the $400 Samsung I had a few years ago was the worst vacuum I've ever had. Temperamental, and one of the houses cracked in less than 6 months. Went back and bought another $70 Walmart Bissell that lasted 7 years, after my previous one went 8.

I have heard nothing but great things about Miele.
