  • having decent fonts is a core need for them. It's not crazy that they spend so much effort on them.
  • google fonts cdn is used for tracking. It's not a secret.

That seems like too literal of a reading? Dune was very much about current events told through allegory, not a warning for the future.

Techne without episteme, that's things like corporations, capitalism, technocratic government etc. They don't run on computers inside humanoid robots, but they're made out of rules to achieve a goal and reduce humans to tools to enact those rules. Close enough if you're writing a story.

She platformed on this, they willingly voted for it.

I'd say there's nothing inherently wrong with any of these. It's the child trafficking and child molestation that's the issue.

So it's pro-subscription activism? Hmm ok

Not everything is. Besides pedophiles, they're also actual fascists.

To a billion parameter matrix inverter? Probably not too hard, maybe not at those speeds.

To a GPU, or even just the functions used in GenAI? We don't even know if those are possible with analog computers to begin with.

But it only does 16x16 matrix inversion.

That happens but you should look this guy up

Will they pay for it though? The real cost of it, I mean.

"Survival of the fittest" is about a species, not an individual. For larger animals pain and pleasure are the greatest teachers, because we can learn from those. These species benefit from individuals learning survival skills. Insects have no use for it, they don't learn to adapt, they survive through numbers, their behavior adapts through evolution.

They react to damage the same way plants do. If you want to call that pain, sure. It doesn't make sense evolutionary that they would suffer from it though.

And we know it's not inherent to life. Even some people are born without nociceptors because of genetic issues. Not-suffering is a big problem, kids get infections etc because they don't learn to stop hurting themselves.
