l think it has been the G54.
App was preinstalled, not removable and obtrusive like hell.

Are there squirrels in your area?
I have seen them go up vertical house walls to raid a bird feeder on my neighbour's balcony on 4th floor...
And perhaps you can convince them to at least let the earthlings hear some lyics before the destruction!
Better yet:
Spooky november lanterns made from Mangelwurzels.
Has been a thing where I come from long before I first heard of Halloween (and we then unfortunately collectively decided to switch to standard pumpkins instead...).
Mangelwurzel-ghost-lanterns are scary as hell!
Might well be.
I had a Xiaomi ~5 years ago, whose preinstalled file manager suddenly started displaying ads after a year or so.
We switched to Motorola because of this, as they then still were known for crap- and bloatware-free system.
Has apparently changed recently.
One of the reasons it was easy to convince my gf to get a Fairphone now.
Have already been since at least two years or so, although maybe on a slightly more limited scale.
The lower mid-range Motorola phone of my gf had a hard-to-disable active wallpaper app that displayed nice pictures, but had a prominent field leading directly to online ads when accidentally pressed (which happened a lot).
Also reactivated itself after each OS update.
Enshitification in progress...
In that case I still don't like it because of the people acting unresponsible with living animals just for a nice picture to post on social media.
Would be great and cute if it where a drawing, but exposing the animal to the risk of a fatal drop just to shoot spectacular photos - shame on them!
Don't know if this fits with what you want to get at, but the main part of the rear mudguard for my mountainbike has now been the cut-up bottom of a 1.5l plastic bottle, fixed with zip-ties to the end of the bike, for many years.
Not only is it superior in function to all the expensive commercial variants I used up to now (actually has a suitable shape and size to catch all the mud...), but it surprisingly also seems to be more durable. And also lighter.
Optics are... special... though.
But I really see that as a positive point: The more ugly a bike appears, the less likely it will get stolen.
Besides, it is a nice talking point when meeting new people :-)
Hedgehogs can't really climb and nobody in their right mind would put them on a position they could fall to their death from.
Besides that, this is either a really huge banister, or a really tiny hedgehog. Might be, but definitely looks kinda peculiar.
So I am calling Al slop on this one. Not because of the hat, but because the other circumstance.
Ich habe vorher schon Links auf den Artikel an drei oder vier anderen Stellen gesehen und jetzt erst erkannt, dass sie offensichtlich nicht zum Postillon führen...
Out of interest I extracted the transcript of the video (watching was out of the question, >3 h 😯) and went over the summary.
Basically three main topics they seem to cover:
- String theory in its present form is crap/is sound: Both sides have valid points here, my personal gut-feeling would actually be slightly on the side of the critics (Sabine is not the only one).
- Scientific academia has a problem/is good as it is: From my personal experience (I am involved with partly government sponsored research and academic people, but in applied sciences) Sabine might actually has some valid points here. But also no acceptable solutions while being somewhat over the top in her expressions. As mentioned, I tend to ignore that content of her because of that.
- Possible financial dependency on billionare oligarchs, possibly influencing her content: Speculation, but could well be. She published some weird stuff a few months ago that could originate there.
.
So, while points 1. and 2. seem nothing to bother about, the third point actually might be something to keep in mind. But this is true for basically all youtubers beyond the hobbyist stage, with some notable exceptions, like the TLDR channel, that try to be as transparent as possible regarding their finances.
In most cases you just don't know what hidden agendas exist, mainly because of financial pressures.
To slightly adept one of Sabine's statements Dave was criticizing:
"I don't trust youtubers."
No, centuries old traditions like that being lost is almost always unfortunate.
And doing is hard nowadays, as the roots are not available in stores today (besides carving lanterns they have been only used to feed livestock during winter afaik).
Only those pumpkins everywhere now...
Streamlined variationless globalized culture instead. Kinda boring.
