My darling manga that could! After years of hiatus and almost giving up hope of ever seeing it again, not only did we get an unexpected return but now it even gets an anime adaptation - by KyotoAni no less!

I think you perfectly put into words why I don't enjoy watching adaptations of manga/LNs that I've read. Baring some exceptions, I always feel like the adaptation doesn't really add much compared to the source material and in many cases it detracts from it, skipping scenes for the sake of pacing or just being badly animated because of budget/timing constrains.

I might not be using GNOME any more but there is one design philosophy it pushed that stuck with me and I employ it now on all other DEs - fuck desktop icons! They lead to nothing but clutter, much better to have all of your folders neatly organised inside of your /home than plastered all across your desktop space.

Save and exit to desktop straight away with no going back to the main menu before. I'm looking at you Dark Souls series! It's like the developers have never used a computer for anything not related to writing code before.

Very excited for more Re:Zero! Still can't believe we're getting it so soon (April 2026), I was expecting a similar wait to what we got between season 2 and 3.

TBH if the person has a laptop I don't blame them. Those can be an absolute hell to wrangle into giving you access to the boot menu. Some won't even let you select the boot device and require that you edit the boot order from BIOS instead! You also might have to disable secure boot if your distro of choice doesn't support it - and I bet even with Windows 11 requiring it 95% of people have no idea that it even exists as an option.

Been excitedly waiting for this since they announced they are working on it, the game was engaging enough I trudged through it years ago even with my vehement hatred of RTwP. I enjoyed my time with PoE 2 a lot more thanks to it's turn based mode despite it's somewhat flawed implementation, hearing that they learned from that and are addressing the issues with it makes me even more excited to replay it (I kinda hope they go back and retouch PoE 2's turn based mode as well)!

We got confirmation that the house protector monster is the family dog! Kinda wholesome it stuck around to keep the house safe. Speaking of wholesome, the black suited gentleman are surprisingly nice, helping Miko with tests, pointing out lost objects and even helping return lost pets! It was really cute how Miko paid them back for their service with snacks, although it sure seems like her dad should notice something is amiss with her leaving obvious offerings to a bunch of ghosts. Is this the moment he learns she can see things or did he know all this time and simply went along with it because it's what Miko was doing?

Clicked for the anime girl, stayed for the incredibly fluffy wolves.

Back when I lived with my parents our neighbour had a really friendly husky that was so eager for people to pet him he would lean against the fence and push his floof through it whenever someone passed by. I miss that goofball.

Would jury-rigging Wraithguard be booting a live USB and trying to fix the system yourself?

Just because Brave comes out as "the best" on privacy tests doesn't mean it's worth it to support a commercial browser that pushes AI, cryptocurrencies, that blocks ads while replacing them with their own locked behind their system that they get a cut from, that added their referral links to websites you visited and only removed them after severe backlash, whose CEO is a notorious homophobe that donated 1000$ to a campaign aiming to ban gay marriage rights in California. Zorin might claim they chose it based on merit and remove a lot of these features from it but they still push people to use it and increase its market share.

The fact that they default to Brave Browser already makes me wary. I have plenty of issues with Mozilla myself, especially their recent trend of integrating AI into the browser but I would rather use a fork or even vanilla Chromium rather than Brave. I know it's just the default and you can switch easily but the fact they landed on THAT out of all available options doesn't give me confidence, I would go with Mint instead.
